Fishing Report from TPWD (May 5)

GOOD. Very clear south, stained north; 71-73 degrees; 0.35’ high. Black bass are good searching vegetation edges and islands with dipped worms, crankbait, bass jigs, and topwater. Start south these days and start moving north to mid-lake. White bass are fair using spoons and Alabama Rigs finding the brush around 22 feet. Crappie are excellent, with minnows and jigs hovering close to 12 feet. Channel and blue catfish are fair on cut bait and stinkbait.
