Official Weigh Stations Are Ready To Geaux!
Here at BassCashBash.com we are excited to announce that we have four official weigh stations signed on for our inaugural event in 2015. We worked with Dinah Medine, of the Toledo Bend Lake Associations Lunker Program and felt that the best thing for both the BassCashBash.com Tournament and the TBLA Lunker Program is to coordinate our efforts for securing our Official Weigh Stations. By doing this we would promote the health of these large fish by allowing a participant to weigh at one location and have official weigh forms for both programs on hand at each weigh site. Our Four Official Weigh Stations are:

Toledo Town and Tackle. Located at the crossroads of Toledo Bend on the Louisiana side at Highway 6 and Highway 191. Curt and the Crew are excited to be a part of our first event and can't wait to put that 10 lbs. or Larger Bass on the scales For you or check in your Tagged Bass.

Huxley Bay Marina. Located on Toledo Bend on the north Texas side this weigh station is water accessible as well as boasting deep water access if the lake level is low. Under new ownership, Sandy is working hard to make this one of the premiere marinas on Toledo Bend with a great restaurant and one of the most beautiful settings on the lake.

Buckeye Landing. Located on the water you can step rite out of the boat with your 10 lbs. plus onto the deck that surrounds their store. Cindy and Bruce say that no matter what time you land your prize catch you can come and weigh it in 24 hours a day. Ms. Cindy said that they live near by the Marina and for participants who have that monster 10 pounder feel free to call their number and they will come over to the store and put it on the scales for you. She felt that no matter what time you catch the fish you should have the opportunity to receive the recognition that you deserve without trying to keep a fish in a live well all night risking the health of the Bass. After hours weigh call: (318) 508-2971.

Fin And Feather Resort. Conveniently located near the mouth of Housin Bay this is one awesome place. Some of the best looking facilities around the Lake they have cabins, RV spots, a restaurant, lounge, covered boat slips and a swimming pool. Ms. Kim the site manager would love to weigh that big fish for you.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Jul. 2)

GOOD. Water stained; 85 degrees; 0.66 feet below pool. Rain continues to fall with more on the way, keeping the lake just a few inches below full pool. The bass bite is holding steady, with a solid shallow water bite early in the morning and again during midday. Topwater lures are producing at daylight, while midday action has been best in thick vegetation using popping frogs and flipping beaver-style baits in heavy pads and bushes. Deeper fish are being caught on Texas rigs and big crankbaits along main lake ridges in 12-24 feet of water. Crappie fishing has slowed with the heat and high water, with the best reports coming from anglers fishing at night under lighted docks or using floating flood lights–live bait is outperforming jigs. Report by Stephen Johnston, Johnston Fishing. Anticipate increased boater traffic this weekend as we celebrate our Nation’s Independence Day.
