Intensive efforts are taking place to ensure the safety of campers as well as visitors to the State Park affected by Laura. Many parks have already reopened to provide availability for the Labor Day weekend. Debris is being cleared, electrical lines inspected, and other high safety standards put into place.

Coming Back Strong – Enjoying the Great Outdoors

Although Hurricane Laura has come and gone, many individuals and businesses in the Toledo Bend Lake area are coming together to clean up the areas. Texas and Louisiana will come back strong and provide the opportunity to fully enjoy the great outdoors in the area.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Dec. 11)

FAIR. Water normal stain; 65 degrees; 3.71 feet below pool. Bass are fair with shallow fish coming on rattle traps, swim jigs and swim baits. Mid range bass are in 8-14 feet with crankbaits and Texas rigs. The deeper bass bite has been hit-and-miss, but the forecasted cold weather should improve this bite.
